Are you trying to watch ITV using the ITV Player on your Android device, but you just get these annoying error messages coming up?
There are a few things that you should know before you continue reading, but the most important is that ITV is only possible to watch from within the United Kingdom. In other words, if you try to watch ITV from outside the UK you will get different error message telling you that it is not available from outside England. Also, you will not even be able to find the ITV Player application in the Google Play Store, due to the fact that you are not in England. But, let us say that you have the ITV Player application on your Android device and now you want to watch ITV, either a live stream or maybe some program already gone live. You start the application and now there are different error messages coming at you. Here are some error messages that might come.
Solution to most ITV error messages
First and foremost you will need to be located in the United Kingdom. If you are located outside the United Kingdom you will need to give ITV the impression that you are still located in the United Kingdom for this to work. But, it ain’t that easy, because ITV seems to block SmartDNS providers on Android. But, it seems right now as if you can use ExpressVPN to watch ITV also on your Android device. In other words you will need a ExpressVPN subscription, download their VPN client to your phone and connect to a server in the UK. Make sure to close the ITV app and restart it once you are connected to a UK server. As you restart the application it should work properly and you can watch ITV on your Android from abroad.

These are my favorites and the ones I have bumped into most times. I do not have official knowledge on what these error messages really mean, but based on my experience here are what might be recommended to do and hopefully the messages will disappear. Other steps to take
The VPN step mentioned at first is 95% the solution that will help you out! But, you can also try these ones!
- Set your time zone to UK / London on your phone.
- Turn of the GPS on your device.
- Delete all data for the ITV Player.
- Restart your phone.
These should help you out, at least it is working for me now and I am able to watch any program on my Android device in ITV Player from outside the United Kingdom.
